Miss Kitty, Prop Guard

n unlikely set of circumstances resulted in Premier Events first and only living “prop”. Miss Kitty came to live at the warehouse after being abandoned by her family and it was two long weeks before we found her in the building. Abused and scared, her sole mission was to attack and harm the individual whose task was to feed her. We became skilled at the drop and run approach to feeding this poor animal. Weeks passed, and the situation wasn’t much better. I finally gave her an ultimatum – become friendly or be picked up by animal control only to meet her untimely demise as no one would be willing to risk life and limb to tame this crazy cat. Within the next few days, the attacks on the caretaker became fewer and fewer, and she started venturing out of her hiding place beneath the wedding table display.Over time, Miss Kitty has warmed to a few folks and has made herself quite the nuisance at times planting herself in the middle of my desk when I’m on deadline or chasing the flower delivery person from my office. Those familiar with her moodiness approach with reservation.

Kelly has purchased every cat toy created by man to try and win Miss Kitty over. Lional is the only one who can pick her up at any time. And she seems to take solace in hanging out on Lena’s desk because she feeds her people food. The mouse population is kept at bay in the winter months since her arrival and no one has been harmed to date. She’s found her home amongst the gorillas, zebras, Eiffel Tower and tropical palm trees.
We, at Premier Events, would like to encourage you to consider adopting an animal from a pet shelter or SPCA when you’re looking for a four-legged friend. All of our pets, with the exception of one wacky Lahso Apso, are rescues and have brought our family countless hours of joy. So look for Miss Kitty next time you visit us. Bring some cat nip and she’ll be very happy to see you!
